Where to go this September? Let’s explore the 2025 Seoul Design International Forum! (Program & Speaker Information / Pre-registration Link)

Hello, this is Sseugo!
Today, I’d like to introduce you to the 2025 Seoul Design International Forum.
Just like I always check the table of contents before diving into a book, I prefer to glance through the overview before joining an event.
So, as one of the official supporters of the 2025 Seoul Design International Forum, I’ve put together all the key information for you!
If you’re wondering what exactly the Seoul Design International Forum is? Don’t worry! I’ll give you a quick introduction before the program overview.
The 2025 Seoul Design International Forum is the place to talk about how to realize the value of design for cities, and it’s a forum I’ve recommended to anyone interested in public design.
(Since it’s also a place to learn about the value of design and collaboration, I’d recommend it to anyone who’s curious about design in general, too!)
So here’s how this post will go:

Now then, how will the 2025 Seoul Design International Forum program actually unfold?
First, let me show you the schedule, and then we’ll dive into the details of each session.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the keynote session, Session 1, Session 2, and the discussion panel I’ve marked in highlight.
I’ll also introduce the speakers along the way, and you can even spot them on the promotional poster!
Not a single moment wasted—what an incredible lineup, right? The 2025 Seoul Design International Forum is where design experts, policymakers, industry leaders, and academics from Korea and abroad all come together in one place.
By the way, the keynote session will be led by Helle SØHOLT, and she’ll be talking about urban design for people and the planet. It already sounds like an essential session for shaping a sustainable future for Seoul, doesn’t it? And aren’t you curious to see what other values and ideas will be discussed?
So then, when and where is the 2025 Seoul Design International Forum taking place? Let’s find out!
The forum will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025.
It runs for a total of five hours, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The venue is the Multi-purpose Hall on the 8th floor of Seoul City Hall!
Simply take Exit 5 of City Hall Station, and you’ll arrive at the venue.
Since it’s a hybrid event taking place both on-site and online, those who can’t make the trip can still join virtually.
The program will be conducted in both Korean and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
Around 500 participants (distinguished guests, experts from Korea and abroad, and citizens) are expected to attend. It’s going to be a rich experience in every sense, both in quality and scale.

Pre-registration is open until Monday, September 15, 2025.
